Spamming! But…Dracula is my absolute favourite novel. From the romance between Jonathan & Mina to the fact I hope I’m as wise & somewhat eccentric as Proff. Van Helsing someday.

It is certainly true though, he really didn’t understand the housing market. How many fixer-uppers does he buy in that novel?? Ha!

DECEMBER 1: ROSA PARKS REFUSES TO GIVE UP SEAT, 1955
On this day in 1955, Rosa Parks refused to give up her seat for a white passenger, leading to her arrest and sparking the Montgomery Bus Boycott.
For many, this day became a symbolic start for the civil rights movement. American Experience’s acclaimed “Eyes on The Prize” series covered all the major events of the civil rights movement.
On the accompanying site, read the national press during the boycott and browse through photos of Rosa Parks, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and even ordinary citizens who participated in this historic campaign for equality.

Lemons & Life

Life seems to bring me a lot of lemons. An irregular amount of lemons in fact so many lemons I have my bad luck mentioned quite regularly. This isn’t a self pity post. In my second semester back at University I have had a five year relationship end, been hospitalised & seen my Grandad (very young) go through a shocking out of the blue stroke. I laugh & joke about my misfortune, which some people find shocking or somewhat vitriolic, but tragedy does bred the best comedy! I am trying to learn how to not let it get me down & continue. I’m young, fairly attractive & have a good, promising degree to finish. Please people of the tumblr-verse, never get into the victim mentality.
